The Motorola Talkabout T802 Two-way radios feature off-grid communications which allow you to use your phone while not on a cell network. You can send messages and share off grid locations with your group with these walkie talkies. This is enabled by a smartphone app and must be downloaded prior to using without cell signal/an internet connection.

The T802 is a 22-Channel FRS two-way radio with 121 privacy tones. It's also weatherproof with an IP54 rating, so it should be able to handle most outdoor situations you encounter. It comes with built in NOAA/Emergency Channel frequencies for you to stay informed during your outdoor activities.

This radio has a battery life of up to 16 hours with the included rechargeable battery, or up to 26 hours if you opt to use 3 AA batteries (not included).
